--- tutorial the aim of this tutorial is to supply you with basic information on how to optimize an image using photoshop. a - set the resolution to 72 pixels/inch. set the size to no larger than 600 pixels x 660 pixels (WxH) b) once you have set the size you are ready to optimize the image. choose save for web from the file menu. c) a window will open where you will see your file visualized 2 or 4 times. the image on the left is your original, underneath you can see its size in kb. the image on the right is the optimized image obtained by selecting .gif or .jpeg. from the side menu. notice how the size decreases remarkably. you can publish files up to max. 100kb. experiment to see the result of your optimizations and the sizes generated. at the end choose save and your file is ready to be published.
