The design takes a creative yet utilitarian approach to the humble light bulb package, leveraging it with additional layers of function and more efficient use of materials. Initially the package serves to house and protect the light bulb. The next layer of function is revealed upon opening the box as it undertakes an effortless transition into a lampshade. Lastly, once the bulb has expired the lampshade can transform back to into a box to accommodate the bulb for its safe disposal. Overall, it makes for a greener use of materials and requires no new technology.
