designer's own words:

Beck’s presents: one thousand & one night stands Our outlet is a multi-functional venue where Beck’s presents an array of themed events such as the celebration and promotion of an idea, a product, an artistic or cultural event. A modern space that reflects Beck’s sleek, international identity, the outlet is comprised of four simple architectural elements –entrance corridors, elevated seating area, bar, and the pool. Each of these elements can transform through graphics and finishes to cater to a multiplicity of users/events. The identity of Beck’s as the event host is communicated through the use of its brand colors reflected in luminous surfaces throughout. Beck’s presenting “One thousand & one night stands” is an exotic journey into the mesmerizing world of the Arabian Nights tales. It is a celebration of a mysterious and paradoxical epoch, an opportunity to lose oneself in an enchanting dream of irresistible seduction. The escapade begins with the entrance. An 18’ high ramped double corridor encased in semitransparent white fabric screens leads the guests into the main space via a cantilevered concrete platform. Floor mounted lights in the corridor ramps tint the fabric screens with a luminous green, introducing us to beck’s identity. At the end of each ramp, projected images give a taste of the event that unfolds within the space. Once inside the main space, attention is drawn to the glass bar and the glowing back wall, which sports a luminous Beck’s logo above a row of beer bottles nestled within a niche. The Arabian nights theme unfolds with the arabesque pattern that is created from the projection of lights behind a printed screen that envelops the entire main space. The cantilevered platform of the seating area hovers above the floor like a magic carpet. Here, five gold colored sheer tents glow with the light of the chandeliers within. Inside the tents, low cushions of rich red velvet invite the guests to lounge or recline around the glass tray tables. Across from the seating platform, a shallow pool allows for casual lounging while enjoying a drink by day. The wall adjacent to the pool is composed of a series of screens which open to the outdoors. By night, a sheet of glass covers the pool and becomes a magical dance floor, floating above water, while the adjacent screens display seductive images of a dancing muse. This is a calling to all you urban, savvy, bon vivant social revelers: Beck’s invites you to come experience,....the mystery,….the decadence,…. and the one thousand & one tales to be made…!
