designer's own words:

A simple innovation fusing craft aesthetics, found in traditional lace making, alongside ceramic technology the blade of the ‘Blossom’ knife not only looks great but performs well too.

With material strength stronger than steel it stays sharper for longer, will not tarnish rust or stain and will not give a metallic taste to your food. The debossed pattern of the blade mischievously nods to connotations of the 20th century home and domesticity, whilst functioning towards a cleaner cut.

As Designer makers it is often the qualities of a material that informs the product design process. Exploring Emma Lacey’s experience with ceramic materials and form in tandem with Catherine Hammerton’s textile and surface pattern background, these young revolutionaries present the ‘Blossom’ kitchen knife.
