citycart1.jpg With “City Cart”, possessions and goods can be kept in order. citycart2.jpg City Cart can turn into a seat when necessary, and the panel can further extended to provide a temporary lying bed for the homeless. citycart3.jpg Bellows was used to create an adjustable sealed shelter for the homeless, and also reduce the cart size when not in use.

designer's own words:

“City Cart” was created to serve three generic purposes: 1. As homeless person needs is uninterrupted sleep and privacy, made of metal base with high quality PP (containers) and UNHCR spec plastic sheeting (bellows shelter), “City Cart” provide them with an affordable and portable waterproof shelter. It gives the homeless back their dignity in that they are no longer homeless and doesn’t have to ask anyone for shelter. 2. With “City Cart”, the homeless can keep their possessions and goods in order, therefore to improve their image. 3. To lighten the inner city unsightliness of the homeless, “City Cart” was designed to beautify the overall environment, so as to match with the surrounding skyscrapers.
