cork'shaker' doors The shakers re-invented the door, a door wich was ligther in use and used les wood, flat panel door called. The way they are fabricated is stil craftswork, what I designed is a way to industrialize these doors by a malding technology. There for i used an old material but on a new way cork. An material that has a low weight, has good warmth and sound isolaion. used for example already in space programs. To give this old traditional door a different look and to show that tese doors are made in a new way, I gave the panels a 3d pattern which is based on the patchwork of the shakers. co called quilts. A new cork door to heaven, with a other touch , sound and feeling is born. Daan Flach 0031614280020
