dignity 3000

designer's own words:

We propose that the technology for the shelter in a cart already exists and can be aquired cheaply (9 in our estimate, less than an ipod). This system is made up from cheap, proven components that can be acted on now, and at minimal expense to the taxpayer or funder.

Being a human being means more than just survival. To flourish the human spirit requires more than just shelter: It needs
mobility
learning
art & literature
to give a minimum of dignity.

We hope that the humble items included in our shelter go some way to providing these needs, and offer opportunities that we think any shelter, in the broadest sense of the word, should provide.
