designer's own words:

In college and urban settings, many students and young professionals live with roommates. Roommatesoften must share space together, including the kitchen, bathroom, and dinning room. Particularly, in the kitchen, it can be unmanageable to evenly divide space in a refrigerator for each roommate. DiVVy is the future solution of refrigerators that divides, organizes and secures personal space in a refrigerator. DiVVy is designed for people who live with roommates and in places where people share a refrigerator, for example, in the dormitory, office. Divvy has 3 modular units that can be put together in respect to a user’s preference and environment. Modular units let you have options to create your own divided refrigerator. A basic cooling generator is located on the bottom of each modular unit while the power and cool air are shared with other units through additional connections. The cabinet-like rail frame helps to improve food organization in a limited space. A basket provides for temperature maintenance and energy saving. When you come back from grocery shopping with the cooling baskets, the basket will be hung on the rail rack.
