Our design approach is simple – treat each project as a provocation. The resulting expression in material, spatial and philosophical terms aims always for the same result, to raise awareness of our surroundings, our interactions with it and its impact on us. Our furniture explores this figure in space, space in figure duality. Grace Duo is an exploration on silhouette/void vibration. Two seats are complemented by four voids It has a clearly defined silhouette that renders the chair monolithic. However as one moves around it the silhouette is undermined and the contour frames the voids within the chair. This back and forth between contour and void invigorates the space around the chair. Designed to be used in public spaces such as waiting rooms. It has designated compartments for magazines and books, which makes it perfect for lounging with a good read.
