The main aim of this project is to encourage the use of the bicycle as an alternative means of transport. Our goal is not only to promote the bicycle for a recreative use, but also to change people´s perception of the bicycle. Based on this, we have decided to adapt our product to the city rather than depend on the city´s infrastructure. In this way, we encourage people to include the bicycle in their every day life. The design solution is a Hybrid Urban Bicycle that reduces its size by folding itself and adapts to different urban spaces, without resigning the usual big-size wheels, which enables long-distance circuits, adapts to any type of urban situation and optmizes the distance/pedalling relation.
