The technology of LED has developed that we can use the screen material more flexibly. The design of IDA-ddd represents invisible force of speed around automobile in a dynamic way. The design was developed around spiral which represents wind around a car. The spiral is then delineated by straight vector by equal division of the curve. In order to create blowing wind effect, each edge of the delineated spiral is randomly offset to the direction of the car movement. The shift is randomized, as external forces affecting air stream around cars. When range of randomization is grater, the panels create different spatial configurations. One configuration is a "tunnel" condition. The Infiniti is in the tunnel of LED light walls. The motion graphics on the LED panel will reflect on highly reflective finish of the car. Another configuration is the randomness of the spiral lifts car off the ground plane, providing elevated view of the car to see details of contemporary auto design. Viewer will enjoy intricacy of beautiful curvature of the Infiniti design. As a whole, it exhibits inspired performance by visualizing abstracted external force around the car. IDA-ddd also provides intimate experience around design and engineering philosophy of Infiniti.
