Japanese urushi Lacquer, when performed by skilled lacquerer, allows a realistic reflection without any distortion or flaw. This is why in my all-lacquered mirror, "Making is thinking": the master must understand the best way to paint the liquid lacquer to achieve the best surface reflectivity, nevertheless maintaining a high level of decoration, industrially unreachable.
