LEDSTEAM is a led-based lamp. By material and size changes, this lamp can be used for interiors (table lamp), outdoor (lamp post) or for creating interacting architectural façades. INTERIOR: TABLE LAMP FROM AMBIENT LAMP TO FOCUSED LIGHT When the lamp is pulled down, the position sensor recognizes the movement and the back leds gradually dim. At the same time, the top front leds light up, creating a visual transition effect similar to a light wave. OUTDOOR: LAMP POST A LIGHT FOR EQUILIBRATING The light color changes accordingly to weather temperature measured by a main weather station. With warm weather, the light turns cold-blue. With cold weather, the color turns warm-orange. LANDSCAPE: INTERACTIVE LIGHT INSTALLATION LAMP POSTS > ARCHITECTURE FAÇADE A socialization-encouraging light installation that promotes direct interaction by citizens. Each lamp post controls a specific façade area. By changing the lamp post color, the led-made façade changes its visual lighting effects accordingly.
