LUNE Dinnerware provides an enhanced and more connected dining experience for Chinese seniors living in long-term care facilities. Typical western dinnerware does not suit their traditional eating behaviours, and may contribute to anxiety when making the transition from home to an institution. By creating vessels that are more culturally familiar through forms and symbols, raised to promote better posture and thermal for keeping food warm, Chinese seniors are more likely to enjoy their meals in a communal setting.
