designer's own words:

the project is thought of in a way that infiniti's car is the hero, we approached the topic ´inspired performance as the experience that unites driver and car and what can be drawn out of this experience ... the concept is to allow the user control the animation through the car's performance ... in this way the user has the full car experience and at the same time achieved control, performance, speed sensation , stimulation of the imagination and certainly fun! all the statements above to us represent "inspired performance" the installation is aimed to illustrate almost all infiniti cars from 1989>2011, the animation style of each car is related to its contextual background and interrelation between each car, the animation progression is linked with the engine's revolution progression, meaning that the animation is controlled using the gas pedal, the animation will be linked directly to the engine revolutions, this will allow user to interact with the car via the throttle paddle (increasing engine's rpm without moving the car). the speed of the visual will vary according to the input of the user. The data of the engines behavior could be drawn from the same sensor that is on the engine's crankshaft and sends data to the dashboard or engine control unit. to make the installation work, a program must be developed to understand the engine's input and use it to control the animation the installation will be inside a showroom, the car will be facing a screen, where a full had projection where the user has full access a software was provided to simulate the animation, using a set of buttons having different speeds which will replace the throttle paddle you can find the software in a (.rar) file (for pc only) under the below link: http://www.zshare.net/download/92374142fd70aaee/ after downloading the file please follow the following steps: 1- unzip 2- run the file (setup) 3- have fun a video showing a demonstration of the software is uploaded on this page m.a.s.h
