designer's own words:

Lace making is one of the oldest crafts, may have begun in the first half of the 14th century and expanded to so many countries, entered to so many houses, adorned so many moments..Our moms love it, our grand-moms even more… But what about us? Well.. in its view we feel nostalgia, in its touch we feel tenderness…but most of us cannot use it. It looks so remote into our modern houses..we can only secretly love it… What an intelligent hand could do with our our nostalgic mood for laces? It keeps the craft, keeps the feeling and changes the material.Replacing the cotton fibre with metallic wire we can have a totally new product ,with some of its old attributes. Our new metallic runners can adorn our modern homes and furnitures, can be used as a dishmat, or as a coaster. The last use is totally new as old fabric laces could not be used under a hot pot,but the new metallic can easily be used for this purpose on a kitchen bar or on a table at a formal dinner.Besides its metalic texure make them look like a jewel.
