you are always able to recognize a moleskine on a shelf because the notebook image is very iconic, the product is like a logo itself. this logo is also talking about collecting moleskines, putting together your life and experiences through these special notebooks. we see a group of moleskines on a shelf, between regular books. there is something that makes them special, recognisable, and the logo makes us recall our own experience as users of moleskine notebooks
