designer's own words:

my_table is a lightweight table made from aluminium and polycarbonate. Although the concept relies on one simple basic shape defining the whole object, seams have been integrated to allow the legs to be taken off for transport and convenience. Internally aluminium honeycomb is used for weight reduction.
