The Northern Lights bike share system consists of a bike that is inspired by traditional danish carrier bikes. The flexible carrier in the front can be folded in on the sides to save space in dense urban spaces like Seoul. Northern Lights is a 'floating' system, meaning that there are no fixed bike stands. Instead mobile and GPS technology allows bikes to be parked at any street corner. Mobile services allows easy location and reservation of nearby bikes. In the night the front carrier is illuminated by a row of LED's, for easy location, as well as creating a strong visual identity.
