designer's own words:

What?! Taking the concept of birds’ nests, a new kind of one-way flowerpot has been developed. 100% Organic 100% Biodegradable 0% of Waste How?! Only made out of natural “waste” such as dry leaves, small sticks, feathers etc; merged with clay instead of mud like in nests; Instead of being baked in a kiln, the clay for this particular pot is air-dried. “The waste”, which gives structure to the pot, is agglutinated by the clay. Why?! The use of polymers is growing everyday. Due to the ineffective recycling of plastics, the widespread usage of polymers poses a serious threat to the natural environment. Thus, it is crucial to reduce the amount of plastic being used as far as possible. Pots, employed for the transportation of plants i.e. flowers for the balcony, are an example for such a wasteful and easily avoidable use of plastics. What for?! Normally, plants are transported by using pots made of polymers; here, pots just have a temporary function as wrapping material. After having put the plants into the soil, the plastic pots become superfluous and increase the piles of rubbish. The advantages of ‘Organica’ are obvious: not only does this particular pot help avoiding the accumulation of even more plastic litter; the plants can also be put into the soil straightaway without having to remove the pot first- ‘Organica’ disintegrates after a short period of time.
