Perceived by touch

Is a collection of hand knitted elasticated covers using a variety of different textured fabrics that improves our sense of touch. These fabric covers come in two different sizes, which can be applied to internal door knobs, as well as the knobs off kitchen units.

These can help enrich someones life by giving an extra sensory perception to a person by enabling them to feel different surface textures. I purposely chose the colour white for all the fabric covers, as opposed to different colours for each fabric. This would then develop a more enlightened sense of touch, rather than being a visual aspect. This in turn would give each room a special touch as you enter. The fabric covers can also be assigned to a particular kitchen draw or cupboard to help the visually impaired identify where specific contents are located within the units.
