In the fast and each time more interconnected world, easily understandable universal communication systems are a necessity. pictograms are concise visual signs used for orientation and identification.Largely found in the great urban centers, they were incorporated to the quotidian experience, being part of a common cultural repertory of the inhabitans of a number of nations. An international language. PictoLED is a family of symbols designed to LED lighting matrix. Quality of a pictogram set is found in the visual coherence between components of each sign and between individual pictograms and the whole set. Basic element of pictoLED is the double line of lamps in orthogonal configuration. It´s the module of pictograms with a proper visual language come from regularity of its matrix. The characteristics of a LED lamp are especially adjusted to wayfinding systems in which pictograms have utmost importance. The efficiency of a glyph is at your capacity of synthesis. pictoLED is a concise conceptual and structurally set of pictograms , without curves simulation. it´s built with just essential elements. This approach makes clear and easily understandable pictograms, visible with sharpness at great distances.
