the renault 4 is one of the greats, the all time favourites and a very advanced car for its time, it redifend the way the urban car should be and simbolizes the begining of a great, prosperus period for its country. the new r4, as its predecesor has been designed with the people and its home planet in mind. zero emission, biodegradable eco friendly plastics and rubbers, solar photosensitive polycarbonate roof and windows, carbon fiber superlight wheels and chassis, led optics, lithium polymer batteries, supercapacitors, electric active wheel motors, regenerative braking, they are all part of the package and help make this project what it is, a new segment in the automobile market. what makes this proyect so special is the group of high tech and high efficiency elements, put together with a striking yet elegant body with an innovative form factor, its a coupe, but is also a hot hatch, a light 4x4 suv, a long distance cruiser, a family saloon, it can be or do pretty much anything you need and its absolutely renault. it features an efficient combination of exchangeable lithium polymer batteries and supercapacitors for optimal energy management, this pack is removed and replaced by a fully charged one in a matter of seconds in a recharge station, rendering recharge waiting times a problem of the past and maintaining the capability of a home recharge. four active wheels for perfect traction and stability, a lightweight and rigid modular carbon fiber reinforced plastic chassis, an unique four piece inyected biodegradable plastic bodywork and no more luxury than that provided by a perfect manufacturing process and grat quality materials. the interior features a minimalistic, driver oriented design with only what is necessary for the driver to know, providing a really cozy atmosphere with four fully foldable individual seats, and the posibility to add a third row of places is made possible by its high roofline and spacious form. what this proyect is, is a car made for the people by the people, the ultimate all in one, from bare materials to its biodegradable, eco friendly disposal, the best of the automotive present and future, wrapped in a beautifully styled body showing the world that this is only the begining and the future is absolutely renault. can it be done? of course it can. r4
