designer's own words:

Recyclome = recycled home. Combining environmental awareness and clever mechanisms, Recyclome makes the perfect companion for the homeless. Folds flat when not in use, it then transforms into a cart during the day and serves as a shelter during the night. It also comes with a rolled-up mattress and storage compartment for personal belongings. Recyclome can be manufactured fully out of recycled materials. The metal bars are recycled aluminum, the tentsheet, trolley bag, storage compartment and bedding made out of recycled plastics from bottles, yogurt pots and plastic bags. Mixing the colors and ignoring the bleaching process of recycling plastics not only makes it cheaper to produce but also gives it character and an aesthetic appeal. The main idea behind Recyclome is to utilize; directly or indirectly the recyclable materials such as aluminum cans and plastic bottles collected by the homeless.
