designer's own words:

renault 4 uv is a review into modern style of the unforgettable r4. one of the most appreciated cars by the people all over the world is now suggested with an updated and very attractive silhouette constantly inspired to the concept of robustness and neatness which made it the most famous and versatile “all uses” vehicle in the evolution of this type of cars. thanks to its unique and tipical multi-functionality, nowadays the r4 would be certainly a suv. for this reason i decided to baptize my concept with the name of 4uv: fo(u)r utility vehicle. in the same size as the glorious r4, today we can find the typical frontal (made more aggressive by the bonnet-integrated hawk headlights) and the extremely useful big rear door. as well as outside, also inside we can find some typical references of the original model. instead of the central rear-mirror (on the middle of the dashboard) there is the navigation system panel. the shift lever (in this case, automatic) is located in an elevated position and integrated into the dashboard as it was on the old r4. and what about the materials? i have no doubt: large use of aluminium (clean, fully recyclable and lightweight).
