Riparo is composed of five simple roto-molded pieces. The main body houses two telescoping supports as well as the drive ball. The drive ball is coated with a rubber coating for protection and a comfortable ride. The user will ride on the cart like a scooter, and an internal truck on the rear axel allows the user to turn the cart by a simple shift of his or her weight. The user’s belongings are held in a roto-molded basket attached to the front of the main body. When the cart is in sleep mode, a mattress and protective tent pull out of the body providing a safe, comfortable place to spend the night. The design is both intuitive to use as well as tough enough to survive the wear of everyday use.
