designer's own words:

The design concept, which evolved with reference to modernist architecture and civil engineering, comprises 6 tiles (200mm square), each with a different relief pattern. The abstract nature of the design means that the tiles can be placed in any orientation or configuration and yet work together to create a unified surface. The tiles work effectively as relief installations in both interior and exterior locations bringing interesting pattern and texture to large or intimate surface areas in both commercial and domestic settings. Making methods harness both cutting edge computer aided die-cutting technology and traditional press moulding and lead glazing techniques.
