Shimmer is a wall sculpture as much as a radiator. The sculptural surface of the product makes the wave pattern on the front to appear only when you are standing right in front of it. While watching, the pattern starts to float and an optical shimmering effect is visible. This creates a visual experience of heat, similar to the way the air starts to shimmer of heat on a hot sunny day, a natural experience that many people can relate to. --- Construction: The radiator technology is hidden by the front cover to create a product that appears as a piece of sculptural art on the wall rather than a radiator. The rear of the radiator is optimized for best possible heat output. The size of the product is 1200x1200x100mm with a heat transfer area larger than 1,2m2 due to its sculptural surface. --- Production/manufacturing: The product is designed to be easy to produce with low manufacturing costs. The sculptural wave pattern on the front cover can easily be made with sheet metal forming and the rest is made of ordinary radiator parts.
