designer's own words:

Why buy a standard size fridge when you won’t use all the space? Why store different food groups in the same place when they need different temperatures to endure? With the Singulux there is no reason to. The Singulux is a new concept of storing food. Small refrigeration units that can be used by themselves or in conjunction with other units give the user a freedom never seen before. The user now has the power to dictate what size refrigerator he or she wants by choosing to purchase as many units as he or she needs. The user can also separate food groups into different units in order to store them at appropriate temperatures. Each unit has the capability to act as a fridge or freezer. Each unit can display its contents through icons and other pieces of information like internal temperature, volume used and energy consumed via use of a front panel touch or voice activated display. The units can receive edit instructions through voice commands or manual instruction. The Singulux. Smart on space, smart on efficiency, smart idea.
