I wanted to focus on the loss of diversity on this Earth and how 4 billion years of evolution is slowly being wiped out due to big businesses and other ill-informed human activities. Thus I decided to show ´fragmented´versions of known animals that are facing extinction, as if they´re being dissolved into the dull gray background, gray in this sense simply meaning ´dull´since without diversity that´s what this world would be.
