This is the idea to explore the furniture can be long-life. Satisfying user's requirement is crucial to products. As additional value of furniture to be used long-life, I focused on "fondness". It's intended to create characteristic furniture, as a way of expressing "fondness". Face is the most perceptible part. For instance, money is figured with famous face. People can instantly recognize if there is slight difference of color and shape of face, and prevent counterfeit as the result. Face is the special symbol influencing upon people. With using this characteristic of face, my intention is to make up a character in interior not only a functional chair. To accentuate the characteristic is to make fertile facial expression. When a person sits on the chair, the chair moved its shape. It means, depending on the way of sitting and on a person, the chair makes different smile. This is the communication tool between people and the chair, that people give the chair facial expression, and the chair give people happy feeling.
