designer's own words:

The Table Chandelier uses crystal's inherent beauty to throw light in a space in unexpected ways. It is inspired by the idea of an over-the-counter, take-away Chandelier. The form is composed of random prism-like shapes, which refract and reflect light. Regardless of environment, both generated and ambient daylight make the Table Chandelier a precious sight to behold.

The Table Chandelier is is a new type of object for future dwelling. A regular chandelier is a crystal product, but the format is antiquated. Swarovski makes the most beautiful crystal in the world, but due to obstacles of size and installation you can't walk out of a Swarovski boutique with a chandelier in hand . Secondly, more than half the world's population now lives in urban areas, the living conditions are small. Not everyone has the need or the opportunity to use a chandelier, and they are difficult to move from place to place. The Table Chandelier inverts this dilemma, it does not hang but sits atop a flat surface. Also a much smaller fixture, it can purchased and carried away.

Suitable for compact fluorescent bulbs or LED, the fixture has a cast base and crystal top. The fixture combines the physical qualities of crystal with the intangible qualities of light - the result is brilliance, radiant emotion. By using the natural optical properties of crystal, and the problem of the typical Chandelier format, we have created a new Crystal object for the home of the future.
