designer's own words:

This light “Source” is inspired by a vibrant and beautiful sight in the winter that the warm sunshine touch the earth through the layers of tree branches. It is high white clay covered in a smooth,shiny and translucent glaze called Yingqing galze, and then fired to 1330℃. It is carved low relief trees on the two sides of the lamp. The tree will be life-like when the light is on , and therefore will make a pleasant ambience in the quient evening. It could be used as a bedside lamp,and also be placed on the guound or on the table somewhere for decoration.
