designer's own words:

based on a traditionally styled case the twist in the design is provided through a threaded channel around the face that allows for alternative watch cover designs to be screwed onto the watch. the watch covers act both as a decorative element and a method of protecting the glass below from being scratched. additional features; fluorescent strip just above and around the whole of the watch face, deep dished case, rubber strap with clip mechanism and coloured rubber spacer to allow alternative easy removal of strap, decorative logo plates on top on strap clips, screw crown and back featuring breil logo, based on a rondo 705 mechanism.
