how it works

designer's own words:

The UMBREL-LUX combines the functional use of an umbrella with the richness of crystal to luxuriously illuminate your way in inclement weather. LEDs mounted on the UMBREL-LUX's central mast focus light onto the fabric underside which in turn reflects the light through a matrix of crystals. The crystals are beaded into a net like matrix affixed to the UMBREL-LUX's collapsible mechanical arms.

during registration

designboom collects information
