atelier cypher: hiragana flash

‘hiragana flash’ by atelier cypher art direction and design

atelier cypher art direction and design has developed ‘hiragana flash‘ and ‘katakana flash’ iPhone apps designed to help you read the japanese hiragana alphabet. these study aids deliver an intuitive flash-card style presentation. each card presents a hiragana or katakana character on the front of a card and the romance language pronunciation on the back. designed to be simple and elegant in form and function, it offers a minimal, typography-driven design that is free of distracting images and cultural clichés. they make studying easy by eliminating unnecessary buttons and complicated menus. simply select a character set from the app’s home screen, swipe the cards to move forward and back, and flip a card to view the back with a single tap.
