milan-based studio attico has recently shown their ‘cristina celestino’ collection of wrapped vases at salone satellite during milan design week 2012. the pieces are designed and formed with a veneer that is composed of layers of wood, carbon, glass fiber and adhesive films. the materials are encased on steel spindles and then are polymerized in autoclave. the language of the stratified material is interpreted as an aesthetic value, the plot of a story made of lightness, texture and resistance that amplifies these diversities.
