hungarian firm pos1t1on collective has sent us images of their latest furniture collection ‘belleposition’ showcased at the 100% design london festival. influenced by the traditional forms the pieces preserve their functions and schemas. the reinterpretation and analysis led to the aesthetic details expressed in the quality of materials. the armchair, side tables and mirror were all elaborately crafted using solid walnut, wool felt and cotton. the surfaces are classically joined with a folk technique, where the smocking is contrasted with LED lighting and acid-treated finishes.
