greek studio dede dextrousdesign has developed a backgammon board made of kitchen sponges which is currently on show at taf (the art foundation) in athens, greece. the project is part of the ‘once upon a sponge’ exhibition that takes the neglected everyday object and reinvents the form and use into a new public perception. the game design is identical to the real board, yet the sound absorption qualities of the material allows the activity ro produce no sound.
