cell phone for the visually impaired people

Cultural perspective Design: EyePhone Image 1: Eyephone is a cell phone for the visually impaired people. Image 2: “Cheshm Zakhm” is a Persian cultural object which Iranians use it as a belief to prevent the negative energy of devil eyes. “Cheshm Zakhm” means Eye Regard. Image 3: Braille is still the standard when it comes to helping the visually impaired read. Unfortunately translating text into Braille is costly. EyePhone is an advanced optical character recognition scanner designed to make all books available to the visually impaired. The pins come up from the surface differently by using the different modes. Moreover, a hands free kit that is designed for this cell phone has a place for hearing aid to help blind persons to understand better. A silicon uncinus is designed for fixing the head seat. Image 4: Eyephone has a camera with OCR mode. As you pass the wand over a page, the text converted to a friendly speech. It can be used to convert any text from books, newspapers, mails, business cards, etc., into the voice information. Image 5: Mobile phone is a fashion item. People express themselves through fashion. Blinds know fashion as well as us. They don’t see it but they can feel it. They want to be seen as equals. The Eyephone is designed for this need of blinds.
