a quick experimental look at the fire hydrant of the future, based on the the aesthetics and functionality of the traditional object.
our studio took a quick experimental look at reinterpreting a fire hydrant. the goal was to apply a contemporary and functional design aesthetic, creating a form that would be instantly recognizable. all nozzles and fittings are housed inside a durable, cast iron shell. the tamper proof top requires a deep socket to operate the valve.
