I miss swan by françois mangeol image by françois caterin

I miss swan is a lantern, a kind of indoor night-light. this contemporary object associates sensitive and tactile know-hows and materials with these new bulbs that don’t need to be replaced anymore because they don’t blow. in a nutshell : it just blends into your everyday life.

I miss swan is a lamp made to be watched and observed : an exposed bulb almost naked, a soft grained wood stand, a sandblasted glass cone that that filter and soften the light source to create subdued lighting, a thread-plaited wire, a switch.

a long-lasting object that tackle the issue of the way we deal with extinction, substituion and change. we used to replace bulbs didn’t we ?

what are we most likely to replace noadays : the bulb or the lamp ?
