jonas lyndby jensen: snowshoe chair

designed and produced by danish furniture designer and cabinetmaker jonas lyndby jensen. inspired of the shapes of snowshoes, jonas made a classic cabinetmaker chair with elements of viennese chairs using bentwood. the snowshoe chair is made of bleched and soap treated ash. seat upholstered with woven white horse hair in a chain of white linen thread. textile is designed and executed by danish textile designer jacob bille.

the chair has been exhibited at ordrupgaard museum in denmark, tokyo design museum, london design week, riga and is planned to be exhibited at the stockholm furniture fair 2012 (7.-11. feb.).
