‘rim lamp’ by jun yasumoto

japanese designer jun yasumoto has presented ‘rim’ during paris design week. born from the idea to use the qualities of lampshade fabric with a simple and affordable structure to achieve warm lighting, the object softens and bounces light, allowing for a rich ambient atmosphere. as it rotates around the bulb, it is possible to modulate and orientate the position of light. using simple construction, it eliminates a complex production process, which allows a reasonable manufacturing prices.
