this is a presentation of a modern interior located in the tuchola forest by a nearby lake. the premise was to combine modernity with tradition. therefore we designed the house out of natural materials, such as field stone and wood. spruce timber was used both outside and inside, as a reference to the surroundings in which the house is located. additionally, the home owners wanted to keep an open space within the house, while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. taking into account the diverse weather in the tuchola forest region, as well as location of the building, we used two colors: ascetic white and warm yellow, to give a freshness and elegance to the interiors. another objective was to achieve a contrast between the wood and futuristic shape of the walls. one example is a room in the shape of a circle. this untypical interior contains a mini-study, which offers views of the beach and lake. next to the study, there is a dining room, which also has view of the lake, as well as an exit to a terrace. the house can be used seasonal or all year round.
