‘riveli shelving system’ by mark kinsley for lake + wells

chicago-based designer mark kinsley of the american studio lake + wells has conceived ‘the riveli’, a modular shelving system influenced by compact living spaces. the product is meant to not only display goods and products, but act as a canvas for demonstrating artwork or graphics when the shelves are not in use. ‘the rivelli’ either displays artwork with magnetic graphic paper, or by sliding thin material into a built-in aluminum channel. because no hardware is needed, the look of the shelf can quickly and easily change just by peeling off and replacing the magnetic graphic or sliding in a new material, making it ideal for commercial use. as inventory depletes or grows, the brackets can be rotated up to clear up space. in a matter of minutes, the entire arrangement can adapt to any desired room configuration.
