scottish-born, paris-based designer neil poulton has concieved ‘the ruggedkey’ as his latest product addition for digital storage manufacturer lacie.  by utilizing a protective orange bumper, data is kept safe from heat, cold, and those all too often 100-meter drops. being IP-54 certifified, the USB stick is meant to be unbreakable. the 16 and 32 GB device integrates USB 3.0 and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0, providing transfer speeds up to 150MB/s, where an HD movie, 3,000 photos or a 5GB file can be downloaded in less than one minute.
