rombo – a light flexible wood chair by J.C. karich

‘rombo’ is a super light and flexible chair, made of ash plywood and polymer joints. designed by J.C. karich, the seat and the backrest are carved with a V-shape that makes the wood very pliable once the joints are in place, with no nails or screws necessary to hold it together. this simple design weighs only 1.7 kg and attempts to blend aesthetics and functionality with the use of smart materials such to create a seating object that adapts to the body and seating position of every person.
