tokyo-based ryo matsui architects have designed comic book store for ‘tokyo’s tokyo’, featuring a theme of manga and anime. the space is aimed to fully reflect the cultural expression of the animated japanese characters. the store is converted using fixtures that uniquely represent the manga lifestyle, where products can be exhibited more effectively, deepening the relationship between the customer and and the irregular layout within the building. the interior renovation accentuates the connection of books to people, where the library has been conceived to simplify the browsing process through an attractive and appealing user experience.
