israeli atelier’s sholi strauss and studiokahn have developed ‘dominique’ a coat hanger out of blind correspondence. a knob was designed and made by studiokhan which was given to sholi strauss, which turned it into a coat hanger with a shape that relates to the node like a flower or seed.

the furniture piece has atrophied studs protruding from the trunk, where the main portion of it is reminiscent of a gall stung by an insect. the object combines different styles of the designers seen with the hard durability of the full grained ash and indian rosewod meeting the fragile gentleness of the ceramic and gold luster. both elements come together to establish a new language of connections.
